Divinity Original Sin 2 earned critical acclaim last year for its combination of deep role-playing, tactical turn-based combat, and superb branching storytelling. And now, just as was the case with the first game, a new Definitive Edition brings the experience to consoles. This is no mere port, though —Larian Studios has added plenty of new content and streamlined the game’s controls and mechanics for something better suited to console gamepads. Yet still, Divinity Original Sin 2 is a complicated game with dozens of systems to understand and manage. One such component of its character progression are Source skills, which are upgraded via Source points. They aren’t easy to come by, though, so here’s how to get Source points in the game.
I can't do the ritual a second time : I've got the plant and the knife and the bowl but when I try to smell the smoke created with the fire it tells me it has no effect on me.
I've got my 3 source points but I've done the ritual only once ! Is that normal ? I must say that I've been to the Hall of echoes several times so I guess it's possible to have the equivalent of the ritual made but through other quests isn't it ? Also I must say that, for me, Siva was killed at the gallows (when I tried to free her by force) and, at the moment, I didn't thought it was important (especialy since I'm able to access here vault anyway) so I let her dead instead of reloading my previous save. How to Get Source Points in Dinivity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition
It’s important to remember that source skills are extremely powerful and so you shouldn’t expect source points to be readily available, especially not at the start of the game. Source points are stored in special slots, which are made available to the player as the story progresses. For example, you should have received your first Source point slot after having found a statue of the Divines and porting to the Hall of Echoes. Later, you’ll be given access to more during the quest Powerful Awakening.

In terms of actually getting more source points, there are several ways to go about this. Most obviously, via source water, which covers the surface area of specific locations in Divinity Original Sin 2. When one of your characters with an available source slot stands in a pool of source water, they’ll absorb a Source point. For example, there are several pools in the Hollow Marshes area, as well as the Necromancer’s Tower.
Elsewhere, you can get Source Points from Source fountains, which are a renewable means of replenishing Source points. You can find these in areas such as the Decrepit Ruins in Act 1, under Meistr Siva’s house in Act II, and in Arhu’s prison in Act IV.
Consumable items and skills can also yield Source points. This includes powers such as Source Vampirism. And consuming items like Source Orbs and Source Potions, which are found later in the game, also grants you Source Points.

Source Powers
Your characters whether they are custom made or origin stories all are sourcerers which means that they all have access to the Source. The Source is essentially the energy behind the creation of life in Rivellon and as you can imagine gives access to great powers to whoever has access to it. In terms of gameplay the Source is not only connected to the previously mentionned effects Bless and Curse as you need access to the Source to use those but also gives access to special skills much stronger than the others. Those Source skills cost you a Source point to use on top of the normal conditions such as Action point cost and cooldown. Source points can be acquired by different means such as walking in a Source pool that you can find regularly around the world, by draining the Source out of corpses or by draining the spirit of the deads thanks to your Sourcerer ability to talk with spirits. But beware as draining the Source from the deads may lead you to become dark and have terrible consequences …

As you can imagine using the Source is not something you do often and should be done only in the toughest encounters or you may regret being out of Source points during the most dire situations. You start up with one maximum Source point per character as soon as you remove your Source collar during the Prologue on Fort Joy’s island and then as you become stronger may eventually get access to up to 3 Source points stored at the same time.
As a general advice aside from not randomly using Source skills I would recommend you to specifically wait the right window to do so. Always use your Source skills when you know the correct armors are removed on your targets (or that your skill will remove them in the process as most of those skills are very powerful) to maximize its effects. Or wait to be able to target as many enemies as possible if you use a big skill that can impact several targets.
Here is a comparison from the same character of a Fireball regular skill and Epidemic of Fire, a source skill. At first they look not so different in terms of damage but Epidemic of Fire can bounce up to 5 times and also leave a cursed fire field instead of regular fire making it a very deadly weapon melting down your opponents.
It may sound a bit trivial but try to use only Source skills that really take the best advantage of your strengths and strategy, don’t use a Source skill just because you can use one. For example if your have a mage with particularly good fire damage and very average access to other elements try to mostly (if not only) make use of his fire Source spells because those bonus damage can really quickly ramp up and decimate your foes.
Though at first Source skills may look a bit underwhelming considering their cost if you use them at the appropriate time and have a build that make good use of it they can be really devastating and turn the tides of battle in your favor with one Source skill only.

Statue of Illusions Answers in Divinity Original Sin 2
As you progress through the story in Divinity Original Sin 2, you’ll eventually be led to a mysterious cave just north of the Seekers camp. The cave is full of illusions and puzzles, and you’ll soon encounter a Statue of Illusions who asks you a series of questions. Answer each one correctly, and he’ll give you a helping hand. Here are all of the Statue of Illusions answers in Divinity Original Sin 2.
There’s actually a trick to guessing the answer. For instance, the first question is, “BRACCUS is a bloody, rotten, thieving, very, very awful fellow. Some even call him a cur! A CUR is…?” There’s a reason why the words BRACCUS and CUR are capitalized. The letters in BRACCUS correspond with the words that the Statue of Illusions says after that.

So in this case, B corresponds with “bloody,” R is “rotten,” A is “thieving,” C is “very,” and so on and so forth. When he asks you what a CUR is, you’ll want to match the letters in CUR with the words he said in the first part of the question. With this in mind, you should be able to answer his questions fairly easily.
